Testimonial
"This surgery was the smoothest one yet. Even my doctors commented on how much calmer I was and how much better I looked this time. I wore my headphones, eye mask, and favorite red baseball hat and lucky green socks in surgery & recovery. Your recordings played on a loop for 4 hours and I sailed through without any problems. That’s a first! I just wanted to share my good news with you. See you next Thursday."
A medical diagnosis can change everything.

Whether you are facing cancer, chronic illness, surgery, fertility treatment, unexplained symptoms, or ongoing health uncertainty, the emotional impact can be just as exhausting as the physical one.

This work helps you manage the anxiety, fear, and mental overload that often come with medical stress—so you can feel more grounded, clear, and supported.
Is this what you're dealing with?
Why Medical Stress Feels So Intense
-
Constant worry about test results or what comes next
-
“Scanxiety” Scan Anxiety before appointments, scans, or follow-ups
-
Trouble sleeping because your mind won’t stop
-
Fear of recurrence or fear of bad news
-
Feeling emotionally overwhelmed during treatment
-
Difficulty functioning while trying to stay strong for everyone else
-
Anxiety around surgery, procedures, or medical uncertainty
If yes, you are not alone. Medical stress affects your mind, body, relationships, and ability to cope day to day.
Medical anxiety is not “just stress.”
Your nervous system is responding to uncertainty, fear, loss of control, and very real life disruption. Even when treatment is going well, your mind may stay stuck in:
-
Worst-case thinking
-
Hypervigilance about symptoms
-
Emotional exhaustion
-
Difficulty relaxing or feeling safe
-
Constant mental preparation for bad news
This can continue long after the procedure or surgery is over.
A More Effective Approach: Integrative Psychotherapy + Hypnosis
This work combines in-depth psychotherapy with evidence-based hypnosis when appropriate.
Integrative psychotherapy helps you:
-

-

Improve coping during treatment and recovery
-
Navigate relationship stress and role changes
Hypnosis helps you:

-
Reduce anticipatory anxiety before scans or appointments
-
Support pain management and reduce pain experience
-
Improve recovery times
Hypnosis is always optional but highly suggested for Medical Stress. It's integrated into therapy based on your comfort and goals.
